We have 3 more weeks in this semester and I'm so ready for it to be over. I just need a break of nothing but relaxation and a little fun. This semester has been somewhat hectic being a  freshman and adjusting to college life. Things have been stressful here and there but I'm starting to get the  hang of it, well I'm trying yo at least. Now that things are coming to an end it seems like it is so much stuff due at once, I have a 5 page paper due in this class, 3 page paper and a presentation due in my FYE class, and then yet again I have another project due in my fashion class. On top of all those things having to be due I still have to study for test and guess what ?  I have two test soon as we come back from thanksgiving break. The worst part about one of the test is, which is math, the teacher didn't show up on the last day of class and we were supposed to go over new information that is on the test MONDAY. I just really need this semester to be over!!!!!!!!

So I am so excited about the opportunity of getting the  chance to go to Mexico this spring break. There is a program here at Western Michigan called CAMP, which stands for College Assistance Migrant Program, this program assist students who are migratory or seasonal farm workers. Well for the first time CAMP is opening up one of their projects to MLK scholars, which I am. I've never been outside the country and I think it will be a life changing experience. To go on this trip I'm required to get a pass port and take a class on Hispanic culture; I don't know much about Hispanic history or culture but this will also be exciting to learn  then getting to go to this country.

So this has been a  shocking and crazy week. The election of Donald Trump, who’d think someone like him could be the president of the United States of America. I guess this just comes to show how sad this country really is; he is racist, sextist and just plain disrespectful but yet he still won. As African American this election just opened my eyes more to the kind the country I live in. This is why I support the movement of Black Lives Matter because as long  as this country continues to allow people like Donald Trump to become president making things harder for colored people, why not stand for something?

I guess on this blog I can do a little confessional about something that I really dislike. So one thing I'd like to confess is I really hate when people tell me what to do, seriously. Especially people who are in the same age category as my self and may be a few years older. I guess they feel as if because they are a tad bit older that they automatically have some type of authority. Then they'll try to have a nasty attitude about it and get upset when you say something back to them like nope you're not going to talk to me any way you like.
